DODA, Feb 12: Bhalra and Prem Nagar Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered cannabis from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Bhalra led by SI Bupinder Singh laid a naka at Drudu Bridge and intercepted a vehicle bearing registration number JK06A-0383.
During checking, police team recovered 40 grams cannabis from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Ravi Baloria, son of Kashmir Singh of Dranga, Bhaderwah District Doda.
A case under FIR Number 18/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bhaderwah and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Prem Nagar while conducting routine checking intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 30 grams cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The accused was identified as Jugal Kishore, son of Om Prakash of Inderalla Thathri District Doda.
A case under FIR Number 22/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation started.
