Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Aug 30: Peer Mitha and Chinore Police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 26 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Peer Mitha led by SHO Inspector Mohd Rashid and assisted by ASI Mohd Iqbal under the supervision of SDPO City Sharad Kalu laid a naka at circular road and arrested a drug peddler along with 21 grams of heroin.
The arrested person was identified as Amu, son of Sher Ali of Darala Tehsil Nagri District Kathua, at present Bari Brahmana District Samba.
A case FIR Number 48/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Post Chinore led by PSI Amit Singh and ASI Gurdev Singh under the supervision of SHO Domana Inspector Tilak Raj and SDPO Domana Sunil Singh during checking at Raipur Chowk intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02CV-7265.
During checking, police team recovered 5 grams heroin from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Karan Kumar alias Goldi, son of Kaku Ram of Naradani, Malpur District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 307/2022 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
