KISHTWAR, Dec 21: Under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’, police arrested two drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, a police team led by Inspector Naseer Ahmed and accompanied by Incharge Police Post Shalimar led by PSI Rishab under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Satish Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a Maruti Swift car bearing registration number JK02AC-2744.
During checking, police team recovered 52 grams heroin from the possession of two persons travelling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Salman Sajad Kandoo, son of Sajad Hussain Kandoo of Kandoo Mohalla District Kishtwar and Aadil Hussain, son of Abdul Majid of Palmar District Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 275/2021 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation started.
