Two drug peddlers arrested with heroin, ganja

JAMMU, Oct 1: Bishnah and Bahu Fort Police arrested two drug peddlers with heroin and ganja.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Bishnah led by SHO Inspector Joginder Singh laid a naka near Shibu Chak and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 9 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Abilash Mandi, son of Keshav Raj, a resident of Harsa Dabbar, Tehsil Bishnah, District Jammu.
A case FIR Number 151/2021 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah against the arrested person and investigation started.
However, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort led by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar laid a naka near Panama Chowk and apprehended a pedestrian along with 2.610 kilograms of ganja.
The arrested person was identified as Kidar Nath, son of Mewak Ram, a resident of Chattisgarh.
A case FIR Number 322/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
