POONCH, June 3: Continuing its war against drug menace, Police9 arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 14 grams of Heroin like substance from their possession.
Reports said that a patrolling party of Police Station Poonch, headed by ASI Tariq Khan, laid a naka at Kamsar and intercepted two pedestrians who were coming from Kamsar side towards Poonch town. Noticing the presence of police party, the duo tried to run away which created suspicion over them. The police party chased and apprehended them. During their search 14 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from them.
They were identified as Sajjad Ahmed, son of Abdul Hameed, resident of Kamsar, and Irfan Ahmed, son of Khaliq Hussain, resident of. Kamsar, Poonch.
In this connection, a case FIR number 71/2023, under section 8/21/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Poonch and investigation has been taken up.
