DODA, Mar 17: Police here today arrested two drug peddlers from Gandoh area and recovered 30-35 gram charas from their possession.
Giving details in this regard, SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta said that cops from Police Station Gandoh while performing routine vehicle checking near Goilbar Gandoh stopped one Jonga vehicle bearing registration number HP73-A 6758 coming from Kahaljugassir and moving towards Gawari Gandoh for checking.
Driver of the vehicle Abid Hussain, son of Kalim Mohd, resident of Parihad Tesna Chora, Chamba, Himachal Pradesh along with one another person identified as Talib Hussain, son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Kaku, Tehsil Gandoh, Doda were searched during which charas like substance was recovered from Talib Hussain and also from the dashboard of the vehicle. Total 30-35 gram charas like substance was recovered, and the duo were arrested.
A case in FIR No. 21/2025 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
