DODA, Mar 28: Police here today arrested two alleged drug peddlers and seized intoxicant substance from them.
Sources informed that during the intervening night of March 27-28, 2025, cops arrested Babu Ram, son of Mool Raj, resident of Uggad, Doda and Bilal Ahmed, son of Mohd Ishaq Wani, resident of Sadiqabad, Doda.
About 3-4 gram heroin was recovered from Babu Ram and 2-3 gram from Bilal.
The arrests were made during a vehicle checking operation near Agricultural Chowk in Doda.
The entire operation was led by SHO Police Station Doda, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed and DySP Hqrs, Ajay Anand.
The arrests were made by a Police team under the supervision of SSP Doda, Sandeep Mehta.
In this regard a case in FIR No. 71/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Doda and investigation started.
