Two ex-MLCs quit PDP

Srinagar, Mar 21: Senior People’s Democratic Party leaders and former legislators Khursheed Aalam and Yasir Reshi today resigned from the basic membership of the party.
Former Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Khurshid Aalam this morning announced his resignation from the PDP stating that the party lacks political vision and strategy.

He said that he resigned from the party as it lacks political vision, strategy, and has no direction.
Another former MLC from Sumbal, Yasir Reshi also resigned from basic membership of PDP. He said that he resigned from the party after he convened a workers meeting in Naidkhai, here today.
Reshi remained away from PDP, since Parliamentary elections were held in Jammu and Kashmir and supported People’s Conference against PDP candidate Qayoom Wani who was contesting from Baramulla.
Sources said that both the leaders are likely to join the People’s Conference led by Sajjad Gani Lone.
