SRINAGAR, May 6: Police today said two girls attempt suicide in Budgam and Kulgam districts of Kashmir valley.
A police spokesman said a girl (name withheld) hailing from Khag village of Budgam consumed some poisonous substance at her home. “She was shifted to Khag Hospital for treatment wherefrom she was referred to JVC Hospital, Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said another girl (name withheld)hailing from Wantpora village of Dooru, at present Chowgam village of Qazigund in Kulgam, set ablaze herself by sprinkling kerosene oil. “She was shifted to Sub District Hospital Qazigund for treatment wherefrom she was referred to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he added.
