JAMMU, May 24: Police arrested two persons along with 129 pouches of illicit liquor, a police official said.
The accused has been identified as Surinder Singh, son of Sher Singh, a resident of Beraru tehsil Bhalla.
A case under FIR Number 63/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bhaderwah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Bhalla police post SI Sunil Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, Additional SP Bhaderwah Shaazad Salaria and SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir.
Meanwhile, a team from Vijaypur police station also arrested a man along with 89 pouches of illicit liquor.
The accused has been identified as Manoj Kumar, son of Ram Kishore of Kot Rakwalan, Ramgarh.
A case under FIR Number 75/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Vijaypur police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Vijaypur Inspector Suraj Pathania made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Vijaypur Abhishek Sharma and SSP Samba Anil Magotra.
