Two held under Arms Act

JAMMU, Oct 5: Two persons were arrested under the stringent Arms Act here today, police said.
A police spokesperson said that on September 28, 2023, a complaint was lodged at Police Post Phallain Mandal by one Sandeep Sharma of Dundpur, Tehsil Mandal, stating therein that two persons restrained his and his brother’s way and beat them to pulp.
On this, a case FIR number 206/2023 under sections 341, 323, 34 of the IPC and 4/25 of the Arms Act was registered at Police Station Satwari and further investigation started, he said.
Followed by this, he said, special teams of Police Station Satwari led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma assisted by SHO Satwari Inspector Sumeet Sharma and incharge Police Post Phallain Mandal PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal rounded up two accused persons identified as Balbir Singh alias Veera and Kuldeep Singh alias Babu of Village Prambali, Tehsil Mandal, Jammu.
During questioning, the accused confessed their involvement in the case, and on their disclosure, two sharp-edged weapons were recovered from their possession, added the police spokesperson.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
