JAMMU, July 8: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 300 grams of heroin worth several lakhs in the drug market from Domana area here today.

A police official said that during routine checking of vehicles at Domana area, a vehicle (JK02AW-1611) was signalled to stop.
On search of the vehicle, he said, 300 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of two accused occupants identified as Gul Mohammad alias Gola, and Khurshid Alam alias Jabbu, both residents of Ragoora, Jammu.
The police official said that the accused have been arrested and booked in case FIR number 187/2024 under Sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana. The vehicle used in the commission of the offence has also been seized, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by a party of Police Station Domana headed by SDPO Domana assisted by SHO Domana Inspector Sushil Choudhary under the overall supervision of SP Rural Jammu and SSP Jammu.
