KATRA, Dec 23: Continuing its drive against smuggling of narcotic products in the holy town of Katra, police nabbed two persons and recovered 60 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise Liquor from their possession, today.
According to Katra police, acting on a specific information, it laid a special Naka at Balini Katra, and during checking/frisking apprehended two persons namely Suraj son of Indru and Mohan Lal son of Madan Lal both residents of village Serwad tehsil Katra district Reasi and recovered 60 poly pouches measuring 250/250 ml each of J&K Excise Liquor from their possession.
The arrest was made by Police party led by Inspector Kuldeep Krishan, SHO,Katra, under the supervision of Dr Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Addl SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi.
In this connection a case FIR number 204/2015 Under Section 48(a) Excise Act, 188/RPC stands registered at Police Station Katra and investigation is in progress.
