Two held with 95 pouches of illicit liquor

JAMMU, Sept 19: In two separate cases, Bishnah police today arrested two men and recovered 95 pouches of illicit liquor from their possession.
According to a police official, a police party of Police Station Bishnah today apprehended one Manohar Lal son of Lal Chand, resident of Village Khairi (Bishnah) and recovered 45 pouches of desi excise liquor from his possession.
The accused was arrested on the spot and the consignment of illicit liquor was seized. In this regard a case FIR No 201/2017 under Section 48A Excise Act was registered at police station Bishnah and investigations started.
The arrest and seizure was made a police team led by SHO Bishnah, Inspector Pritpal Singh under the direct supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary and SP Hqs, Jammu, RC Kotwal.
In another case, Bishnah police intercepted a scooty bearing no JK02BL-3168 at Deoli Morh and found 50 pouches of desi excise liquior from the scooty rider namely Gurmeet Singh son of Amrik Singh, resident of Makhanpur (Bishnah).
The accused was arrested on spot. In this regard, a case FIR No 202/2017 under Section 48A Excise Act was registered at police station Bishnah. The entire proceeding was carried out under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary and SP Hqs Jammu, RC Kotwal.
