JAMMU, Dec 19: Chatha police arrested two persons along with poppy straw (bhukki).
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Chatha police post laid a naka Sur Morh Raipur Satwari and intercepted a without registration number motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 3 kilograms of poppy straw from the possession of the rider and his associate. Both were arrested on the spot.
The accused have been identified as Parveen Singh and Jagbir Singh, both residents of Raipur Satwari.
A case under FIR Number 279/15 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered and further investigation of the case is going on.
