JAMMU, Dec 19: Police in RS Pura area here claimed that they have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered from their possession 7.78 grams of Charas-like-substance and 48 tablets of Clonazepam.
Tinku Kumar and Sahil Kumar, both residents of Banota, RS Pura, were arrested during routine patrolling duty at Banota naka in RS Pura area, said a police official.
According to him, the accused have been booked in case FIR number 268/2024 under sections 8/20/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station RS Pura and further investigation taken up to uncover the source of the contraband and any potential links of the duo to any larger drug network.
The arrests and seizure were made by a team of Police Station RS Pura led by SHO concerned under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Nikhil Gogna and SP Headquarters IH Rather.
