JAMMU, Oct 13: Two drug peddlers were arrested with 80 grams of heroin from Rail Head Complex area here today.
A police spokesperson said that during routine patrolling duty at JDA Parking, Rail Head Complex, two suspects identified as Mangat Ram of Firozpur, Punjab, and Ajay Kumar of Trikuta Nagar, Jammu, were put to frisking by a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SDPO East Parupkar Singh and assisted by SHO Bahu Fort, Inspector Shiv Dev Singh.
“During their search, 80 grams of heroin was recovered,” he said.
The accused have been accordingly arrested and booked in case FIR number 299/2023 under sections 8/21/22/25/28 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation taken up.
Pertinently, the entire operation was conducted under the overall supervision of SP South, Shaheen Wahid.
