Two held with heroin

JAMMU, Oct 18: Nagrota police arrested two persons including a notorious criminal and recovered 30 grams heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Nagrota Police Station laid a naka and intercepted Alto car bearing registration number JK21F-0205, which was on its way to Jammu from Kashmir.
During checking, police team recovered 30 grams heroin from the possession of two persons traveling in the car and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Mohammad Aslam, son of Murad Baksh of Khoon Tehsil Majalta District Udhampur, at present Chak Manga, Tehsil Vijaypur and Bagh Ali, son of Yousaf Ali of Sunjwan Camp Bariyan District Samba.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mohammad Aslam is a notorious criminal and was involved in different cases registered in various Police Stations. One case also stands registered against him in Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 399/19 under section 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Nagrota Inspector Mohammad Shoket made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Mohan Sharma.
