UDHAMPUR, May 12: Police today arrested two bootleggers with illicit liquor.
Police sources informed that under the supervision of Sahil Mahajan, DySP Hqrs Udhampur, a team of cops led by Inspector Chanchal Singh, SHO Police Station Udhampur laid a Naka at Dhar Road during which they intercepted a vehicle bearing number JK14D-0755 on checking of which 24 bottles of illicit liquor were found.
Police arrested Koushal Gupta son of Subash Chander of Ward 12, Udhampur and Sohan Lal son of Madan Lal of Sui, Udhampur as both were moving with illicit liquor in their vehicle.
The liquor was seized.
In this regard police has registered a case U/S 48 (a) Excise Act and further investigation was started.
