JAMMU, Nov 28: Two bootleggers were arrested with 53 bottles of illicit liquor from Subash Nagar and Shakti Nagar areas here today.
A police spokesperson said that information was received at Police Station Bakshi Nagar regarding some bootleggers carrying illicit liquor for sale in the areas under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar Police Station.
On this, he said, special police teams of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SDPO West Vikram Singh, assisted by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Sharma, raided the suspected locations and arrested two individuals identified as Dinesh Soni of Jeshpur Bankay Nepal at present Subash Nagar Jammu and Subash Chander of Shakti Nagar Jammu.
Accordingly, police have booked the duo under the relevant sections of the Excise Act registered at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and started further investigations.
