JAMMU, Sept 19: Police today arrested two persons and recovered the skin of a leopard from their possession.
According to a police official, during checking at Manda Naka, a motorcycle bearing registration number JK14A-8536 on which two persons were travelling was stopped for checking. During checking, a carry bag was recovered from their possession and when the bag was opened, the skin of a leopard was found in it.
Consequently upon recovery of the skin of the leopard, a case FIR No 130/2017 under Section 8/38(3)/49-A/51 was registered at police station Pacca Danga. Both the accused persons namely Rajinder Puri son of Tara Chand, resident of H No 81, Pacca Danga and Rajinder Verma son of Krishan Lal, resident of Nagrota, were also arrested on the spot and investigation taken up.
The recovery was made by SHO Pacca Danga, Dheeraj Nagpal under the supervision of SDPO City North, Varun Jandial, SP City North, Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu, Sunil Gupta.
