JAMMU, Oct 31: RS Pura Police has detained two individuals carrying sharp-edged weapons near the Tawi area in Badyal Brahmana, Jammu.
A police team led by PSI Vinay Kumar (Incharge, Border Police Post, Badyal Brahmana) were patrolling in the jurisdiction of BPP Badyal Brahmana when at approximately 6:55 pm, they received a tip-off regarding two suspects carrying weapons in the vicinity. The suspects were later identified as Rahul Kumar, son of Ramesh Lal, and Manshu Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal, both residents of Ward Number 1, Bhore Chatha, Satwari.
Acting on this information, the police team promptly reached the location and apprehended the suspects, seizing three sharp-edged weapons, specifically “tokas,” from their possession.
In connection with the incident, a case has been registered at RS Pura Police Station under FIR Number 235/2024, invoking sections 3(5) of the BNS Act and 4/25 of the Arms Act. Further investigation is underway.
