Two held with stolen electric wire

JAMMU, Nov 3: Police in Jammu’s Pounichak area claimed today they have arrested two thieves and recovered from their possession the electric wire they had stolen from an under-construction building.
A police official said that a case FIR number 255/2024 under sections 331(3)/305 BNS was registered at Police Station Domana after one Subhash Gupta son of late Des Raj Gupta Vikrant of House number 245, Kali Jani, Jammu reported that some unidentified men barged into his under-construction house at Sundar Nagar, near Peer Baba Camp Road, Gole Gujaral, Jammu, and decamped with newly fitted electric wire.
Post registration of FIR, the police official said that a party of Police Post Pounichak rounded up two suspects identified as Danish Masih of Shakti Nagar and Sunveer Yadav of Jaswant Plaza.
During sustained questioning, the duo confessed to their involvement in the crime and on their disclosure, the stolen electric wire was recovered from their possession, he said.
Accordingly, both the accused have been arrested and further investigation has been taken up, he added.
