SRINAGAR, Apr 22: Police today arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) from north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Police said that acting on a specific information Handwara police apprehended Masood Ahmad Geelani son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Laribal Handwara and Zahoor Ahmad Dar son of Gulam Nabi resident of Saderkot Bandipora from Laribal, Handwara and recovered Rs 45,000 Indian currency from their possession.
Police said that the money was supposed to be delivered to militants in Bandipora and Srinagar area. Handwara police has registered a case in this regard.
It may be mentioned here that 10 militants were killed by the security forces during last one month in the Handwara’s Rajwara forests.
