Two HM recruits arrested

Srinagar, Apr 7: Security forces today arrested two new militant recruits of Hizbul Mujahideen from Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Acting on specific information from a reliable source about the presence of Hizb militants in an orchard near Achabal village of Sopore, the police along with Army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off the orchard and launched search operation, a police official said.
He said the newly recruited militants were identified as Yawar Nabi Mir Arsalan Rasool Teli – both hailing from Sheikh Sahib locality of Chinkipora area of Sopore and both were apprehended due to “strenuous efforts” of security forces .
“On questioning, the two newly recruited boys revealed that they left the home on March 28 and joined Hizb on the instigation of some local recruiters.  A missing report was lodged by their families in Sopore police station on the very same day.
“They further revealed that they were motivated to join the militancy by persons namely Arif Teli alias Tiger and Mohammad Shafi Teli – both hail from Arampora locality of Sopore. Both these recruiters have been identified and arrested and booked under law for their criminal intention,” the police official said.
The official further said that few other recruiters are yet to be apprehended. “The apprehension of these two newly recruited Hizb militants who recently joined militants’ ranks is in continuation to the policy of bringing back the local youth who have joined the militancy,” he added.
