Two hurt in road accident

KISHTWAR, Oct 27: Two persons were hurt in a road accident here today.
As per sources, a car of Eeco make bearing registration number JK17-3610 skidded off the road and landed in a deep gorge in Chatroo area leaving the two persons onboard injured.
Immediately after the accident locals along with cops rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation and shifted the injured persons to SDH Chatroo.
The injured were identified as Zakir Hussain and Ghulabo Gujjar.
Police has registered a case in this regard under the relevant sections of law.
When contacted, SHO Police Station Chatroo, Inspector Vikram Singh informed that investigation has been started in this case to find the reasons behind the accident.
MoS PMO, Dr. Jitendra Singh prayed for the recovery of the injured.
In a post on social media platform X (former Twitter) he wrote, “Just now spoke to DC Kishtwar Sh Rajesh Kumar Shavan, after learning about a road accident involving an Eeco vehicle at Mugal Maidan. 2 injured shifted to SDH Chatroo. Meanwhile, Kishtwar administration is working on a road safety plan using latest technologies.”
