JAMMU, Mar 18: In separate cases of fire, two women were injured today in Chinore and RS Pura area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, a woman identified as Geeta Devi (40) wife of Sudagar Mal, resident of Chinore, sustained about 60 % burn injuries at her residence in a fire incident.
“However, it was not clear whether it was a suicide attempt or accident”, the spokesman said, adding, the injured woman was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where she is stable but unfit for statement.
Meanwhile, a woman was also injured due to alleged stove blast at her residence in Ward No 9, RS Pura. The woman, who was identified as Radha Devi (35) wife of Sethi Verma, received about 60 % burn injuries in the mishap and was shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In both cases, the concerned police had taken cognizance.
