Two injured in assault cases

JAMMU, Mar 13: Two persons were injured today in separate assault cases in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a clash took place between two parties over land dispute in Nagrota area of city outskirts, in which Mohd Sharif (18) son of Mohd Aslam, a resident of Bypass Nagrota, got injured. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment.
Meanwhile, Nagrota police had registered a case under relevant sections in this regard and efforts were on to arrest the accused persons, who had been identified as Salim and his father Showkat, and Aslam and Arif, both sons of Mustaq. All the accused are residents of Bypass Nagrota.
In another incident at Chawala Morh in RS Pura, three to four youth attacked another youth identified as Rajendra Mandi (28) son of Buti Ram, a resident of RS Pura, over some old enmity, when the latter was returning from his friend’s home in RS Pura. The seriously injured youth were shifted to GMCH for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
A case FIR No 43/2015 has been registered in this concern at police station RS Pura. One of the accused identified as Paramjeet Kumar alias Jungi son of Devi Das, a resident of RS Pura has been arrested while other accused persons whose identity are not known, are on large.
