Srinagar, Jan 3: Two Army jawans were killed and two other security force personnel were injured as Pakistan violated ceasefire in Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control in Kashmir.
Army today lodged an FIR (1/15) in Police Station Tangdhar saying that Pakistan troops violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) near Kanhaiyah Post last night by firing rocket propelled grenades.
“The explosion of rockets resulted in fire in the forest area, causing death of two Army jawans and injury to another. One BSF jawan, who was posted on duty in a nearby post of the force, was also injured in the incident”, the FIR reveals.
The deceased have been identified as Vijay Jarang and Suresh of 5/5 GR and the injured as Dam Bhadur, Bushan Sharma of BSF 12 bn
However, an Army spokesman didn’t reveal anything about the incident.
