SRINAGAR, Sept 7: In a tragic accident in the Central Kashmir district of Budgam, two persons were killed and 23 injured when a passenger bus turned turtle this morning.
Police said that a TATA 407 passenger vehicle bearing registration number JK01F/4924 turned turtle near village Hushroo in district Budgam this morning resulting in the injuries to 25 passengers.
All the injured persons were shifted to different hospitals of Budgam and Srinagar for treatment.
Police said that among the injured one Ghulam Mohammad Najar, 55, son-in-law of Ghulam Najar and Ghulam Hassan Malik, 45, son of Abdul Aziz, both residents of Wajam, Chadoora succumbed to their injuries.
Police said one Ghulam Hyder Rather, 60, son of Ghulam Hassan of Yachgam, Budgam who was injured in a road accident at Galander, Awantipora in district Pulwama on August 14 and was being treated in SKIMS, Soura, succumbed to his injures today.
Police said that an LP-407 bearing registration number JK01H/4575 hit and injured a pedestrian Mohammad Abdul Hadis, 35, son of Mohammad Abdul Husain resident of West Bengal at Gallander in district Pulwama today. The injured was shifted to SMHS Srinagar for treatment.
Police said an unidentified vehicle hit and seriously injured a pedestrian Mushtaq Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Yousuf resident of New Colony at Ali Jan Road, Srinagar today. The injured was shifted to SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar for treatment.
