RAMBAN, Aug 28: Two persons were killed, when the tipper they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge on Batote-Kishtwar Highway this evening.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AG-0663, was on its way from Doda to Jammu, when the driver failed to negotiate sharp curve, resulting the vehicle landed into deep gorge, causing on the spot death of two occupants.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and retrieved the bodies of the deceased.
The bodies were shifted to hospital, where after conducting autopsy, these will be handed over to family members for last rites tomorrow.
The deceased have been identified as Afzal Hussain, son of Mohammad Sadiq and Karamat Ali, son of Barkat Ali, both residents of Channi Himmat, Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
