Two killed as tourist bus hits bike

JAMMU, July 30: Two bike-borne youth were killed today when a motorbike they were riding on was hit by a tourist bus at Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson “A bus bearing registration number RJ30PA-0031 which was on its way from Katra to Rajasthan this morning hit a motorcycle bearing registration No JK02BJ-2852 near Forest Nursery at Sidhra resulting into death of both the bike rider and his pillion.
In the mishap, one motorcyclist identified as Mohit Sharma son of Ramesh Dass of Dream City (Muthi) died on the spot while the other youth namely Arun Sharma (24) son of Swami Raj, a resident of Kishtwar, got serious injuries.
On getting information a police team of Sidhra police post headed by SI Noor Mohd reached the spot and shifted the dead and the other critical injured youth to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where during treatment Arun also succumbed to his injuries.
The bus involved in the accident was seized and its driver namely Mukesh Kumar, son of Nanu Ram, a resident of Udeypur (Rajasthan) arrested. A case in this connection has been registered under relevant Sections at police station Nagrota.
After completing medico-legal formalities, the bodies of the both the deceased were handed over to their legal heirs for last rites.
