Two killed, five injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, Sept 18: Two persons were killed while five others were injured in separate road mishaps in this winter capital of the State and its outskirts.
A motorcycle -borne unknown male of age about 20 years was seriously injured when an unknown vehicle hit his bike at Kamini in Nagrota area. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. In the mishap, pillion riders identified as Ajit Kumar Mandal (15) son of Babloo and Kanhayia Kumar (16) son of Manoj Mandal, both residents of Bihar, also got injuries and were being treated at GMCH. The dead body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem.
In another incident at Nagrota, two teenaged youths identified as Pranav Sekhri (15) son of Mahesh Sekhri and Puneet Bhagat (16) son of Rajesh Kumar, both residents of Shiv Nagar near AG office, got injured when the scooty on which they were travelling, rammed into a road divider near Panjgrian. Both the injured were rushed to GMCH Jammu, where Pranav was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary of GMCH for postmortem.
A pedestrian identified as Tarun (22 son of Girdhari Lal, resident of Peer Kho was hit and injured by a Balero car on Exchange Road near Kacchi Chawni. A woman identified as Pushpa Devi wife of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Khour, sustained injuries when the bike on which she was travelling, was hit by truck at Khour in Akhnoor tehsil. Both the injured were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
