JAMMU, Apr 7: At least two people died in separate road accidents in Jammu Division, police said on Friday.
They said one Ram Karan Gupta (56) son of Gaja Dhar of Daily Excelsior Lane was hit by a motorcycle opposite Vishal Mega Mart Janipur on March 31, 2023.
“He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu the same day from where he went LAMA (leave against medical advice) to Amritsar hospital the next day,” said police.
“He died at the Amritsar hospital today,” police said.
In another accident on April 5, 2023, they said, one Davinder Singh (45) son of Bhag Singh of Bana Chak, sustained injuries after the motorcycle he was riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle at Hiranagar.
He was also taken to Government Medical College Jammu where he breathed his last today, added police.
The bodies of the deceased have been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting their post-mortem while cases under relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and further investigations taken up.
