Two killed, one injured as Bolero plunges into gorge

RAMBAN, Nov 4: Two persons were killed, while one got seriously injured when the Mahindra Bolero vehicle, in which they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge near Digdol here.
The ill-fated vehicle without registration number was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle landed into a gorge at Digdol area of the district, resulting into on the spot death of two persons and serious injuries to one another.
After getting information, police and Army personnel rushed to the spot and launched operation to evacuate the dead and injured from the area. Locals also helped in the rescue operation.
The injured identified as Rakesh Singh, son of Sukhbir Singh of Raipur, Domana, Jammu was rushed to District Hospital and after first aid, he was later referred to Government Med-ical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for advanced treatment.
One of the deceased has been identified as Radha Krishan, son of Des Raj of Arnia, Jammu, while the identity of another deceased was yet to be ascertained.
A case in this regard has been registered at Ramban police station and investigation started.
