Two killed, one injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Nov 12: Two persons including a minor girl were killed and a man was injured in two separate road mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a married couple was going on their bike JK02AE-8667 when an Army vehicle hit their two-wheeler at Hamirpur area of Pargwal sector, last afternoon.
In the mishap, both husband and wife received serious injuries. They were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where woman succumbed to her injuries during treatment while the condition of man is stated to be stable.
The injured man was identified as Sanjay Singh son of Kuldeep Singh, a resident of Hamirpur and the deceased woman as Jyoti Devi wife of Sanjay Singh.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites. In this connection, a case was registered at concerned police station and investigations were underway.
In another road mishap, a 13-year-old girl was hit and left seriously injured by a speeding Swift Car bearing registration No JK02BF-1516 when she crossing a road near Sidhra area of city outskirts.
The injured girl has been identified as Sabia daughter of Ghulam Haider, a resident of Akhnoor. She had reportedly come here (Sidhra) at her relatives house.
Immediately after the mishap, the injured girl was shifted to GMCH, where she breathed her last this afternoon. After conducting postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
A case in this connection was registered at concerned police station and further investigations were underway.
