SRINAGAR, Jan 13: Two persons died while two others were injured in different road accidents in the Valley.
A police spokesman said a truck JK14B/045 hit a pedestrian Ghulam Mustafa Kidiyal son of Aziz-ur-Rehman of Nowagabra, Karnah on NHW near B.Ed College Drugmulla, Kupwara, resulting in his on spot death.
An LP passenger vehicle JK05A/6718 hit and injured a pedestrian Manjeet Singh son of Mahinder Singh of Kanibagh, Baramulla near Sherwani Hall. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Baramulla for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
A Tipper JK03D/ 0560 hit and injured a pedestrian Ghulam Qadir Beigh son of Habibullah Beigh of Trahapoo Achabal, Anantnag. The injured was shifted to District Hospital, Anantnag for treatment.
A Tata load carrier JK01K/2283 driven by Shabir Ahmed Bhat son of Asadullah of Fristabal, Pampore hit and injured a labourer Homthpa son of Nar Bahadur of Nepal. The injured was shifted to SMHS hospital for treatment.
The spokesman said police has registered cases in these accidents.
