JAMMU, Mar 13: Two motorcycle-borne youths were killed when their two-wheeler collided with a Tata Mobile in RS Pura area while six others were injured in two separate road mishaps in City and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, two motorcycle-borne youths were seriously injured when the bike (bearing registration No JK02B-8663) they were travelling on was hit by a Tata Mobile (having registration No JK02F-0179), late last night near village Chowhala in R S Pura.
“In unconscious condition, the seriously injured boys were immediately rushed to Government Hospital, RS Pura, where the doctors declared them as brought dead.
The deceased were identified as Jarnail Singh (18) son of Raj Singh and Amritpal (19) son of Surjit Singh, both residents of Kotli Shahpura.
A case FIR No 42/ 2015 has been registered at police Station RS Pura and the vehicles involved in the accident seized. The police has also arrested the driver of Tata Mobile, who has been identified as Naresh Singh son of Bhagat Singh of Sheikh Nagar, Bahu Fort, Jammu.
At Kulian area falling under the jurisdiction of RS Pura, three persons were injured when the car (bearing registration No JK02AS-9544) they were travelling in from RS Pura to Miran Sahib got out of control and dashed into a roadside tree in Kulian area, this afternoon.
The injured identified as driver of the car, Kailash Chowdhary wife of Pankaj Gupta, a resident of Birpur in Samba district, her 8-month-old daughter, Mahi and minor son, Nishant Gupta, were immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
A case under relevant sections have been registered in this regard at police Station Miran Sahib.
Three persons were also injured in a road mishap that occurred here this evening at Flyover near Bus Stand. The accident happened when a bike-borne man identified as Manohar Lal (37) son of Punjab Singh, a resident of Akalpur, along with his wife Amita (28) and 3-month-old daughter, Kirti Devi, who was travelling on his bike, got slipped at Flyover.
The injured couple and their minor daughter were shifted to GMCH for treatment. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
