JAMMU, Apr 17: Two persons were killed today in the collision of a truck and a bike in Gangyal area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a speeding truck bearing registration number JK02AR-2304 this afternoon hit a without number bike at Gangyal near petrol pump and seriously injured the bike rider, Sanam Masi son of Manga Ram, resident of Purmandal, and his pillion (a woman), whose identity was yet to be ascertained.
“Both the injured were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where they were declared as brought dead by the doctors”, the official said, adding bodies of both the deceased were shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for post mortem while a case in this connection was registered at police station Gangyal and investigations started.
