Two killed, two hurt in road mishaps

JAMMU, Oct 23: Two persons were killed, while, two others were injured in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, Mohd Mahan, son of Mohd Yaqoob of Narwal, was seriously injured after being hit by a truck at Narwal area. He was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to legal heirs, while, a case has been registered and investigation started.
In another injured, one person was killed, while one another was injured, when the sheep and goats carrying Tata mobile (JK08C-5410), they were traveling in from Mandli, Billawar to Jammu, rolled down near Dramni area of district Kathua.
The driver of the Tata mobile failed to negotiate the sharp curve, resulting into accident. After the accident, the driver fled from the spot, while, the other occupant of the Tata mobile identified as Rafaqat Ali, son of Abdul of Surinsar, Kathua, was shifted to Billawar hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to family members after completion of legal formalities, while, a case has been registered and investigation started.
Meanwhile, a youth was injured when Scorpio vehicle run over his foot near Bali Nallah in Udhampur district.
Identified as Yashpaul, son of Ram Sarad of Bali Nallah, was injured, when the tyre of a Scorpio bearing registration number JK02-8267, run over his foot.
He was shifted to district hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
Police has registered a case and launched manhunt to nab the absconding driver, who fled from the spot alongwith the vehicle.
