JAMMU, June 17: The Government today appointed two retired employees, one among them Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officer, as the members of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE).

As per an order, retired Principal Surinder Kumar and retired JKAS officer Dr Bashir Ahmed Lone have been appointed as the members of JKBOPEE by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by Section 4 read with Section 6 of the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Act, 2002.
The order said that the newly appointed members shall hold the position of the members JKBOPEE for a period of two years or until they attain the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier.
Their appointment shall take effect from the date they assume the office, ordered the Government.
