Two more die of COVID in Kashmir

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Nov 2: Two more persons died of COVID-19 in Kashmir today while 92 persons tested positive for the virus. Eighteen fresh cases were reported in Jammu division and nine in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
With two more casualties in Kashmir today, a total of six persons have succumbed to the virus during last two days in the Valley.
Two persons who were admitted to hospital with COVID infection succumbed in Kashmir today, taking the death toll to 4,438 including 2176 from Jammu and 2262 from Kashmir.
The number of cases in Kashmir division has reached 208,096 including 205,019 recoveries and 2,262 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 916 including 815 from Kashmir division.
With 91 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 322,457 which is 98.39 percent of the total cases.
Those who tested positive include 42 from Srinagar, 21 from Baramulla, 5 from Budgam, 1 from Pulwama, 4 from Kupwara, 4 from Anantnag, 3 from Bandipora, 11 from Ganderbal  and 1 from Shopian.
Among 18 cases in the Jammu region, five each were reported from Rajouri and Poonch districts, four in Jammu, two in Udhampur and one each in Doda and Reasi districts.
Fifteen persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active cases in the Jammu region to 101.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today registered nine new cases of COVID-19, all in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 76 active positive cases—71 in Leh and five in Kargil.
