They have been identified as Balbir Singh alias Billa son of Sardar Singh of Preet Nagar Digiana and Rajinder Choudhary alias Raju Ganja of Vijaypur.
However, there was no official confirmation of detentions.
Reliable reports, however, said that Raju Ganja had taken luggage of Wazir in a car from Kunjwani to New Delhi during his last visit on September 1. Normally, whenever Wazir visited New Delhi by air, his luggage was taken to Delhi in his own vehicle. However, on his last visit, Harpreet Singh reportedly told Wazir that his vehicle is already in Jammu which will pick up his luggage from Kunjwani.
Kunjwani was intentionally chosen as place instead of Wazir’s Gandhi Nagar residence for picking up laguage to avoid identification, sources said.
Reports said Raju Ganja and Balbir Singh were reportedly in New Delhi and likely around the scene of crime in West Delhi. Electronic location of Raju Ganja was shown to be on the place of crime on the day of high-profile murder.
Sources said four teams of Delhi Police are working very professionally in Jammu to work out the murder.
Unconfirmed reports said that Harmeet Singh of Nanak Nagar, whose suicide note has gone viral, is reportedly alive.
Both Raju Ganja and Billa are being questioned.
Meanwhile, Crime Branch started the verification of a viral handwritten note, a photo of which was posted on the Facebook account of Harmeet Singh, an accused in the murder of Wazir.
According to the police, Singh has allegedly confessed to the crime in the post which went viral on social media.
Delhi Police Crime Branch said that it is verifying that whether the note was uploaded from Singh’s Facebook account or a new account was created for this in his name.
Delhi Police also interrogated the family of another accused in the case, Harpreet Singh.
As per the neighbours of the absconding accused Harpreet Singh, he was operating a new channel named ‘Sadda Haq’ from the apartment.
As per the police, the murder was pre-planned and the flat in Moti Nagar where Wazir was murdered was rented in January. The accused had also informed the landlord beforehand that the flat would be vacated by September 10.
The police investigation also revealed that the murder was initially planned in July but could not be executed then. The motive of the murder is expected to be clear when both suspects are arrested.
