JAMMU, Nov 1: Gadigarh Police arrested two narcotics smugglers along with 13 grams of heroin.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Post Gadigarh led by Inspector Lakhvir Singh under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Deepak Jasrotia laid a naka near Bhour Pind and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police team recovered 13 grams of heroin from the possession of the rider and pillion rider and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Rajinder Kumar, son of Satpal of Aloora Phallian Mandal District Jammu and Darshan Lal, son of Tarsem Lal of Kashmiri Mohallah, Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 251/2021 under Section 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Satwari and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
