SAMBA, June 6: On the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, police here today arrested two notorious bootleggers and recovered from their possession 90 bottles of JK Special Desi Whisky of 750 ml each.
The arrested bootleggers were identified as Balbir Singh, son of Sardar Singh, resident of Talger Rehian, Samba and Kuldip Singh, son of Balkar Singh, resident of Talger Rehian.
A case in FIR No. 149/2023 U/S 48 (a) Excise Act was registered at Police Station Samba through Police Post Rakh Amb Talli and investigation was taken up.
The arrests have been made by a police team comprising In-charge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli PSI, Vineet Singh Rukwal under the supervision of SHO Police Station Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, Deputy SP Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
