Two notorious criminals held with weapons

JAMMU, Aug 7: Intensifying their crackdown on a violent land dispute at Ring Road, Jaffer Chak, Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two more notorious criminals with weapons.
A police official said that Pritam Singh alias Sethi from Jerda, Tehsil Ramgarh, District Samba, and Ranju Chaudhary from Kathar Kothe, Tehsil Arnia, District Jammu, were apprehended following a strategic operation.
Under the guidance of SHO Police Station Kanachak, and with oversight from SDPO Domana and Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural Jammu, he said a team of police from Police Post Gajansoo conducted a significant operation.
“They seized two vehicles-a Scorpio and a Swift,” he said, adding that a search of the Swift revealed a cache of weapons, including a pistol (Katta), a Toka, and a baseball bat, which were used in the violent altercation.
To date, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained five individuals in connection with the case, confiscating various weapons and vehicles involved in the assault.
“The two newly arrested suspects are currently in custody as the investigation continues,” added the police official.
