Two notorious drug peddlers arrested with heroin

JAMMU, July 31: Miran Sahib Police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Kullian and intercepted a motorcycle.
During checking, police recovered 11.25 grams heroin from the possession of rider and pillion rider and arrested them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Parveen Kumar alias Peenu, son of Devi Dass Bhagat of Drabta, tehsil RS Pura and Balwinder Kumar alias Makhan alias Pandey, son of Daya Ram of Chakroi tehsil RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 104/17 under Section 8/21/22/29 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against them at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Singh Rakwal and assisted by Incharge Border Police Post Kullian ASI Yougal Kishore made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
