JAMMU, June 25: Janipur Police today arrested two drug peddlers with 29 grams of heroin.
“A team of Police Station Janipur led by SDPO West Vikram Singh assisted by SHO Janipur Inspector Sikander Singh while on patrolling duty near Kesav Nagar Janipur Colony rounded up two suspected persons and on search, recovered 29 grams of heroin from their possession,” a Police spokesman said.
He said a case FIR Number 66/2023 u/s 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Janipur and both the accused identified as Gulcharan Singh son of late Royal Singh of Raghunath Pura (Udhampur) and Ashwani Sharma son of Kewal Sharma of Majalta (Udhampur), arrested.
Further investigation of the case was going on, the spokesman added.
