JAMMU, Sept 8: A team of officers of Legal Metrology Department today inspected petrol pumps in various areas of Jammu.
According to Manoj Prabhakar, Deputy Controller Legal Metrology, the team found two pumps—Anjan Filling Station at Patta Bohri and Kavita Filling Station on Akhnoor Road delivering short to the consumers by 30 ml to 40 ml against 5 litres.
Both the pumps were sealed by Inspector Pooja Kumari and sales were stopped. A sum of Rs 10,000 was imposed on each dealer and recovered as composition money. The dealers were directed to get their dispensing units corrected.
