JAMMU, June 27: Police today arrested two persons for raping a young woman in Trikuta Nagar area.
Police spokesman said that some days back a woman putting up in an accommodation behind RBI building lodged a complaint with Trikuta Nagar Police Station about rape committed on her by two persons.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and started investigation. During the course of investigation, both the accused involved in the heinous crime were arrested by a police team headed by SHO Trikuta Nagar Police Station, Inspector Sunil Jasrotia under the supervision of SP South Rajeshwar Singh and SDPO East, S S Sambyal.
The accused have been identified as Ravinder Singh, son of Gurbinder Singh of Sarwal and Wasim Khan, son of Ghulam Nabi of Gujjar Nagar.
